At the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, Tyla joined Teyana Taylor on stage to present the “I Am Hip Hop” award to Travis Scott. As per WWD, the “Jump” hitmaker embraced the Y2K trend and opted for a John Galliano design from the early 2000s. Tyla sported a black sequined jersey mini dress. The singer wore the casual yet glammed-up ensemble in one side off-the-shoulder style. The LBD featured “Galliano” in green block letters on the chest and jersey number “1” below it.
Tyla continued to glam up her look with a chunky silver necklace, matching earrings, and a bracelet from Tiffany & Co. Meanwhile, her braided hair was styled in an updo with a few locks adorning her face. Tyla completed the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards look with black knee-high baggy boots.

During the talk, the K-pop icon recalled the “Art” singer’s iconic Met Gala outfit and mentioned she “couldn’t even walk.” Tyla shared that the team tried to make her “practice going up the stairs.” The South African singer recalled, “I said, ‘Hey, guys, I might have to be carried up these stairs.’” Well, Tyla was in fact carried up the staircase in her tight-fitted outfit. She added, “It turned out so cute. I feel like it added something to the look.”
